“Fifth International Meeting on Well being and Performance in Clinical Practice“

It is our pleasure to invite you to the “Fifth International Meeting on Well being and Performance in Clinical Practice” (WELLMED 5). Following the success of our previous meetings (May 2014, May 2016, May 2018, September 2022) this meeting will bring together experts from diverse disciplinary backgrounds in order to present and discuss innovative ways of linking physician wellbeing to patient safety and quality of care.

This year we celebrate 10 years from the first WELLMED meeting, where the idea of linking physician well being to patient safety was first introduced.

Several activities will mark the occasion, including a special ceremony honoring WELLMED pioneers who have been very active in promoting WELLMED through all these years.

Proceedings of this meeting will be published in a special issue in HealthCare (IF:2.8)

In line with the theme of wellbeing, WELLMED 5 will take place in in Mount Pelion.

Pelion in Greece is a place of great natural beauty. It is actually a large mountain dotted with traditional villages and secluded beaches. According to the Ancient Greek Mythology, Pelion was the summer habitat of the twelve gods of Olympus. WELLMED 5 will take place in Portaria, a village almost untouched by men, on the southern slopes of Pelion, like a little secret hidden in the Mountain of Centaurs.
